Activities
At Shining Faces we incorporate local community programs and/or facilities into our programming. We offer field trips to the local library, farms, and animal sanctuaries. We also bring in special visitors throughout the year such as professional readers from the local library (specializing in toddler/preschool age groups), character visits (Disney Princesses and Paw Patrol), magicians, science guys, and art programs hosted by Bradford School of Art. All these additional activities help to broaden the children’s horizons and exposure to many different interests/groups.
We want to prepare our children for their transition to Jr. Kindergarten and the best way to do this is teach them the skills they will be graded on in their report cards in JK such as:

Outdoors
Our outdoor play area features a fun and colourful climbing structure which is designed for children 18 months and up. The surface of our play space consists of grass, a rubberized turf material, and play mulch which are all ministry approved protective surfacing. We also have little play houses, cars, and an array of outdoor toys/equipment such as soccer nets and hula hoops which promote physical activity. We store all our outdoor toys in a shed for storage to protect the play materials from the elements.
